Buxar, Apr 20 (UNI) Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of trying to scare Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi by misusing the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

While addressing a rally ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ organised by his party at the Dalsagar stadium in Buxar, he referred to the recent chargesheet filed by the ED against Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case and alleged that that Modi-Shah were trying to scare Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.

The chargesheet has been filed to target Congress, but the party leaders cannot be scared, he asserted.

Kharge further said, “three papers including National Herald were started by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru to convey the voice of Indians to the British.”

A case has been filed against its current chairman, he said and pointed that neither Sonia, Rahul or Priyanka Gandhi can sell the property of that company.

But the Modi government was filing case against the Congress top brass even after being aware that no one can usurp its money, he noted.

The Congress president asserted that no Congress leader will be scared of any such move.

Dubbing the central agencies action against Sonia-Rahul Gandhi in National Herald case as vindictive, Kharge described action of the central agencies against Sonia-Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case as ‘politically motivated’.

Congress will never succumb to any pressure, Kharge boasted, adding that the party would foil BJP’s attempts of destroying Congress.

Speaking on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill recently passed by Parliament as ‘conspiracy of the BJP and the RSS’ to create division among communities, the Congress leader iterated that they believe in dividing society based on caste and religion.

He stated that both the RSS and the BJP were not in favour of the welfare of weaker sections of society, as they were against the section and cannot think for the betterment of society.
