DC conducts Agricultural Development Tour in Reasi Distt

Reasi : Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik conducted a comprehensive inspection tour of agricultural development initiatives across Reasi district on Thursday, marking significant progress in the region’s agricultural transformation.
The tour featured the inauguration of a state-of-the-art polyhouse at Bagga, implemented under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). During the event, DC Malik emphasized the importance of documenting success stories to inspire the wider adoption of modern farming techniques among local farmers.
The Deputy Commissioner visited the Fruit Plant Nursery in Dokezibagh, where she planted avocado saplings at the region’s first-ever Avocado Mother Block.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that this Avocado Mother Block represents not just agricultural innovation, but a pathway to sustainable livelihoods for our farmers.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Horticulture Officer to scale up the production of quality plant material for distribution to farmers across the district, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to agricultural sustainability and farmer prosperity.
The inspection tour was attended by the Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, and other concerned officials.
