YSS G’bal Kicks Off District-Level Thanga-Ta Selection Trials at Qamaria HSS under SVEEP

Ganderbal : The Youth Services and Sports Department of District Ganderbal on Monday inaugurated the District-level Inter-School Thanga-Ta selection trials for Boys and Girls (AAG) at Qamaria Higher Secondary School, Saloora.
This event is being held under the banner of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) 2024 initiative.
The trials for Boys AAG were conducted today, drawing the enthusiastic participation of over 200 students from across Ganderbal.
The student athletes showcased their Thanga-Ta skills with determination and competed for a chance to represent the district at the upcoming UT-level championship.
The selection committee ensured that the best talent was identified for the forthcoming competition.
Additionally, YSS officials took the opportunity to educate students aged 18 and above on the importance of voting, emphasizing that every vote contributes to strengthening democracy.
The public was also urged to actively participate in the electoral process for a better and more progressive India.
