Registrar and Chief Vigilance Officer felicitated the winning teams of the Vigilance Awareness Week Cup and appreciated the participants for their enthusiasm, sportsmanship and active involvement in the competitions.

Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. Anurag Misra, emphasised that sporting activities serve as an effective medium for reinforcing values such as fairness, discipline, honesty and respect for rules, which are equally essential for promoting integrity and probity in public life.

He said such initiatives complement conventional awareness programmes by encouraging teamwork, mutual respect and a sense of collective responsibility.

Prof. Misra further said that the Institute observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 from October 26 to November 1 under the theme ‘Probity for Prosperity’ with a series of activities aimed at sensitising employees and students about ethical practices, transparency and accountability.

The matches provided a platform for employees from different departments to interact beyond their routine professional engagements, highlighting the importance of sports in strengthening institutional bonds, encouraging healthy competition and promoting integrity, teamwork and mutual respect.
