Orientation Prog for Education Volunteers of Seasonal Centers held at Shopian

Kulgam : An orientation programme for education volunteers of various Seasonal Centers of district Shopian was on Monday organised by Chief Education Office Shopian under SAMAGRA SHIKSHA at DIET Shopian.
On the occasion, the Chief Education Officer Shopian, Mohd Shabir highlighted the essence of this induction programme. He emphasized on maintaining the integrity and sincerity while teaching the students of Seasonal Centers. He further emphasized on an inclusive educational environment for migratory students.
The CEO appreciated the role of EVs and said teaching is a divine profession and despite many challenges these EVs reach to the students who have no other means of learning which is worth appreciation.
Bilal Ahmad Wagay a mathematician delivered an expert talk and imparted a training session on how to teach mathematics at elementary level in seasonal centers.
The main session of the training was taken over by Dr Feroz Ahmad who delivered a comprehensive training on how to teach migratory children in Seasonal centers. He elaborated about various skills and methods to be adopted for teaching English and other subjects at elementary level.
Zonal Education Officer Shopian, Sr. Faculty members of DIET and Cultural Coordinator were present on the occasion along with all Seasonal Center volunteers.
