Buldhana: BJP national president J P Nadda on Sunday praised the Narendra Modi government at the Centre for transforming lives of common people and exuded confidence that voters will bring the Modi government back to power for a developed India.

Addressing a public rally for Prataprao Jadhav — the Mahayuti’s candidate from Buldhana Lok Sabha

constituency — here, he said that the schemes launched by the Modi government striving to fulfil vision of a developed India have brought about a transformation in the life of the common man.

While discussing in detail how welfare schemes of the Modi government have changed lives of poor and underprivileged, he said that the dream of crores of poor people to own a house has been fulfilled due to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

So far four crore people have got houses under this scheme, he said and informed that the Modi government has resolved to provide houses to another three crore people under this scheme.

In order to avoid difficulty faced by rural women in fetching water, BJP chief said that through the Modi

government’s ‘Har Ghar Jal Yojana’, drinking water is being brought to 11 crore households through taps.

He further said that 55 crore poor people have got access to free medical treatment of up to Rs five lakh through Ayushman Yojana.

In its 10-year tenure, the Modi government has planned every scheme keeping the poor, deprived and exploited sections in mind, he said.

Unlike the Congress-led government which has so far given only promises to the poor, the Modi government has directly transferred benefits of the development schemes to the exploited, deprived and poor classes, he said.

Moreover, during tenure of the Modi government, the country’s economy has risen from 11th position to the fifth position, he said and informed that that the Modi government’s resolution is to make India third largest economy in another three years.

The Modi government has planned many schemes to make the dream of a self-reliant India a reality, he noted and said that mobile phones which were made in Japan and China until a few years ago are now being made in India.

Also, the government has given a thrust to big infrastructure projects like construction of national highways, expressway, Atal Setu, Samruddhi Highway, Shaktipeeth Highway have been started in Maharashtra, he said.

Listing out scams that took place during the tenure of the previous Congress-led government, Nadda alleged that it was involved in corruption and nepotism.

“That is why voters will vote for BJP and NDA, who are determined to make a prosperous and strong India, he added.
