Discussions were held during the inspection with senior officers, public representatives, including DDC Councillor Shamim Akther and prominent citizens, to evaluate the situation and strategize immediate restoration of road connectivity.
The Deputy Commissioner was briefed about the deployment of adequate manpower and machinery, including 4 excavators and other equipment, as per his directive, to clear the landslides.
Following the deliberations, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Executive Engineer of PMGSY to commence round-the-clock efforts to ensure the road’s traffic-worthiness at the earliest.
