DC B’pora finalizes Republic Day arrangements

Bandipora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ur Rehman Tuesday chaired a meeting of concerned officers at Conference Hall to finalize the arrangements for Republic Day Celebrations.
The meeting held threadbare discussions of the arrangements made by the various departments for upcoming R-Day Celebrations.
During the meeting, DC took department wise review of the responsibilities and accomplishments realized so far.
ShakeelurRehman directed Officers of the concerned departments to ensure all proper arrangements viz. Seating, Cultural programmes, Transport & Parking facilities, Power & Drinking Water Supply, deployment of Sanitation staff, Medical/First Aid services, fire tenders, Installation of Public Address System, appointment of duty magistrates in addition to illumination of Government Building on eve of upcoming Republic Day.
He directed concerned officers of the Mechanical and Engineering department to take adequate precautionary measures of snowfall and weather advisories.
Rather stressed on foolproof security and other arrangements for the successful conduct of R-Day Celebrations.
The meeting was informed that preparations including Rehearsal of parade, cultural events, and other programs are going on throughout the district.
It was given out that all arrangements are put in place at District, Sub divisional, block, and Panchayat level to celebrate the Republic Day with enthusiasm throughout the district.
The meeting was attended by ADC Bandipora Umar ShafiPandit, ASP BandiporaSandeep Butt, ACR BandiporaShabir Ahmad Wani, ACP BandiporaMuzaffarHussain, CPO Bandipora, Officers from Paramilitary and district officers from various departments.
