Braid chopping incidents in the state have become a challenge before govt as well as the people of valley in particular. Though some other states also faced this menace, but in Kashmir valley, the incidents are happening in broad day light, which has irked every individual of the society. People in the initial stage took it as a normal activity, but it took ugly turn, when incidents got accelerated. Police and civil administration are still clueless, about the cause of this menace.
Debates and discussions within general public are going on, but no step has been taken for its management. Since it has entered valley recently and culprits are aware, that the harvesting season going on, they chose rural areas, were people are over busy with farming and harvesting of fruits. On the other hand, the analysis of the mases is that, this criminal act is parallel to the ghost story, which was never brought to the public. The phase of Ghost (Boot) in valley remained a mystery & till date, nothing is known about that critical phase of Kashmir history. Govt , civil administration and public must join hands to eradicate this menace.

From North to south of valley, every individual is in shock. Govt must take some immediate and bold action to stop this criminal act.

Now, it has taken an ugly turn as one precious life has been lost, due to mistaken identity. Many innocent people have become the victims of this menace. Govt’s arrogance & silence on this typical issue has given sleepless nights to the people. Either govt has lost control on these criminals or public trust on police and security agencies is at stake. So for none of the security agencies have niether taken concrete steps to give the relief to the public nor saved their own image by this challenge of criminals. Public on the other hand is facing tough situation through the hands of these unidentified criminals. From North to south of valley, every individual is in shock. Govt must take some immediate and bold action to stop this criminal act.
