B2V5 witnesses overwhelming response in Ramban Distt

PRIs, locals demand need-based development, creation of durable assets

Ramban: Back to Village- 5 witnessed overwhelming response from people from all walks of life during Phase-I, II and III of B2V5 which have successfully completed in 84 Panchayats of district Ramban under overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Baseer-Ul-HaqChaudhary in the district.
Apart from the Visiting Officers, various senior officers of the District Administration including ADC, HarbansLal Sharma, ACR, GiasulHaq, Dy. DEO, Lal Chand, ACD, Ashok Katoch, SDMs and other District and Sectoral officers also participated in B2V5 proceedings at various Panchayats of the district.
Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood and Control, Manoj Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, Patnitop Development Authority, Sher Singh and District Mineral Officer, Kathua, Rajinder Singh Ranawere also among the Visiting Officers.
During the Phase-I, II and III of B2V5, the Visiting Officers interacted with PRIs, Locals, Youth, students during Gram Sabhas to prepare and approve the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) as per the wishes of people of the village besides, participating in inauguration of recently completed works like PMAY-G houses, inspection of new works taken up under MGNREGA, ADF, distribution of land passbooks amongst land owners, presided over sports and cultural events, inspected rural assets likes AmritSarovars was also done by the visiting officers. They also planted saplings in their allotted Panchayats.
The Visiting Officers inspected Anganwadicentre, under construction PMAY houses and recently completed Panchayat assets, besides taking review of drinking water and cleanliness and sanitation scenario in their allotted Panchayats. They inspected the infrastructure of schools, and interacted with the students and staff of the schools.
The Visiting Officers also administered NashaMukti and Swachhta pledges to the PRIs, Government officials, local youth and students, besides presided over multifarious activities during their visits to Panchayats including inspection of AnganwadiCentres where they took stock of Poshan profile of the Panchayat. Besides, they also took a detailed review of the facilities being extended in the Health and Wellness Centre. The Visiting Officers listened to the issues and demands of PRIs and witnessed sports events.
The final phase of the Back to Village-5 will be conducted in the rest of 59 Panchayats of the 11 blocks of the district on November 15th and 16th, 2023.
