Patna: Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today accused Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Yadav of starting the construction work of his shopping mall without the clearance of its map by exercising his influence as DCM in the then grand alliance government. Mr Modi told newspersons here that Mr Yadav by misusing his post had got started the construction work of shopping mall worth Rs 750 crore on the land near Saguna roundabout on the outskirts of the state capital without the clearance of its map in utter violation of section 313 of Bihar Municipality Act 2007. He said that the shopping mall was being constructed on the land, which was transferred to Lalu family by Kochar brothers in lieu of two railway hotels given to them on lease when RJD Chief Minister was the railway minister in UPA I. Mr Modi said that an agreement was signed with RJD MLA from Sursand Abu Dozna`s company Meridien Construction (India) Limited within six months of Mr Yadav assuming the post of Deputy Chief Minister. Mr Modi said, “When I had disclosed soil scam related to purchase of soil by Patna Zoo from the construction site of shopping mall on April 4, an application was submitted to Danapur Nagar Parishad on April 15, albeit without all necessary documents”.
