Belur/Channapatna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday flexed his muscles to call JDS as B-Team of the Congress, and alleged that the father-son party is daydreaming of winning 15-20 seats to play the role of king-maker to form an unstable government that is detrimental to the development of Karnataka state.

“JDS is the B-team of the Congress, and is daydreaming of somehow winning 15-20 seats … They see an opportunity in instability. JDS has declared they are just expecting 15-20 seats and will become king-maker (and form an unstable government) and have its share of looted public money,” He said while addressing a public meeting at Belur in Hassan district here.

Both JDS and the Congress, he said, are one party in all aspects, and they support each other in the Parliament and promote dynasticism and corruption.

Modi said Karnataka, this time, has decided to end the politics of the coalition going on for decades. Congress and JDS are symbols of instability, he said.

He said JDS and Congress are the most responsible parties for instabilities.

“For a long time, Karnataka witnessed the drama of unstable governments. In unstable governments, they only fight for looting money. JDS and Congress are the most responsible parties for these instabilities,” he said.

Modi said Congress and JDS are the biggest hurdle in the development of Karnataka, and they may play as much together, but the people of Karnataka are going to clean bowl them.

Modi said every vote polled for JDS will benefit Congress, and voting for Congress means blocking development, putting Karnataka in reverse gear.

“In Karnataka, Congress and JDS are pretending to be against each other. During the 2018 assembly elections, their leaders were abusing each other. However, as soon as the election came to an end, they allied with each other. Therefore, every vote polled for JDS will benefit Congress. And voting for Congress means blocking development, putting Karnataka in reverse gear,” he said.

PM also said only a few special families flourish when there are Congress-JDS governments, but for BJP every family is its own. He said Karnataka is merely an ATM for JDS and Congress, but it is the most important growth engine of the country for BJP.

Modi said JDS is a completely private limited party of one family, and the big faces of this party are spending all their energy to settle their families.

“Karnataka’s Congress unit has to work round the clock for one family sitting in Delhi. For every decision, they need to have a green signal from that very family in Delhi. Likewise, the JDS party is a private limited party of a single family. They are spending all their energies on the welfare of their family,” he said.

Most of the headlines related to the party are about which member of the family has the upper hand, and there is no discussion about what agenda they have for the people, he said.
