Srinagar : Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that they represent the aspirations of the unemployed youth in J&K.
Addressing a joining programme in which Muzammil Yezdani from Bhaderwah joined Apni Party at Gandhi Nagar Office in Jammu, Mir said that the youth have been left without representation from the last many years and it contributed towards the growth of unemployment.
“The situation is really worrisome as there is no elected Govt to redress the issue which is compromising the future of the youth,” he said while welcoming Muzamil into the Party.
He said that the Party represents the aspiration of youth. “If our Govt comes, we will hold fast track recruitment on all the vacant posts in J&K within a few months.”
He however expressed concern over delay in declaring assembly elections as well as restoration of Statehood to J&K.
Meanwhile, State General Secretary Vikram Malhotra said that the LG administration has completely collapsed to perform in J&K and added more grievances of the people.
He said that the withdrawal of the advertised posts by Govt though a General Administration Department order is a serious injustice to the unemployed youth of J&K.
“The Govt has played with the future of the youth with their decisions taken without consultation. The youth were preparing for the advertised vacant posts by appearing in the exams to be conducted by J&K Public Service Commission and J&K Services Selection Board. However, the withdrawal of the posts has created an atmosphere of uncertainty.
Terming the Govt decision as unfortunate, he said that “The unemployment is highest ever in J&K and there are no job opportunities for the unemployed youth. Hence, the educated youth are becoming over aged.”
“The Govt should reconsider the decision and hold exams for the advertised posts which have now been withdrawn in a very unfortunate manner,” he said.
He also questioned the authoritative attitude of the officers which has become a cause of discouragement in the general public to approach the Govt offices and people are put to suffering with no sigh of relief.
He said that the Govt should hold the officers responsible for their failure in timely addressing the public issues.
Similarly, Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh also expressed concern over mounting unaddressed developmental issues of the people.
“No heed being given to the public grievances by the officials which has given rise to the feeling of alienation and misgovernance. Despite tall claims about developmental works, the ground situation is completely opposite,” he said.
He demanded that the LG make the field officials responsible for their irresponsible attitude towards the public issues.
