DGP sanctions 44.10 lakh relief for COVID affected Police Personnel

Srinagar- Director General of Police, J&K Dilbag Singh on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 44.10 lakh as special relief in favour of 882 police personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police who had got infected by the COVID-19.
Since the outbreak of 2nd wave of COVID-19, the J&K police personnel have been working day in and day out in implementing the government directives to check the spread of COVID-19. Despite precautionary measures, many a policemen on ground are contracting the disease and getting infected. To provide them some financial assistance DGP, J&K sanctioned the relief of Rupees 44.10 lakh in favour 882 COVID affected police personnel.
The amount has been sanctioned out of Police Pariwar Fund through two different orders issued by the police headquarters today. Under these orders, Rs 5,000 each has been sanctioned in favour of these affected police personnel. The move is part of the assistance provided by the Police Department to personnel affected by COVID-19, since the outbreak of the pandemic last year.
Worth to mention here that police headquarters during last year sanctioned special relief of Rupees 52 lakh in favour of 966 COVID affected police personnel.
Under one order 345 personnel have been granted special assistance. Among them, 01 are posted in IGP Kashmir Zone office, 10 in IGP Armed Kashmir office, 02 in DIG Armed Srinagar office, 02 in FA/CAO PHQ, 49 in District Srinagar, 09 in District Budgam, 08 in District Ganderbal, 44 in district Anantnag, 05 in district Kulgam, 08 in district Pulwama, 01 each in District Shopian and Police District Awantipora, 06 in PCR Jammu, 15 in District Baramulla, 05 in Police District Sopore, 02 in District Kupwara, 06 in District Handwara, 24 in District Bandipora, 03 in PCR Kashmir, 01 in ACB Kashmir, 07 in CID SB Kashmir, 02 in CID CI Kashmir, 04 in Crime Kashmir, 03 in Crime Jammu05 in PTWS J&K, 19 in Railway Kashmir, 09 in Security Kashmir, 13 in Telecom Kashmir, 05 in Traffic City Srinagar, 08 in JKAP 5th BN, 01 in JKAP 9th Bn, 03 in JKAP 11th Bn, 04 in JKAP 12th Bn, 02 in JKAP 13th Bn, 05 in JKAP 14th Bn, 05 in IRP 3rd Bn, 04 in IRP 4th Bn, 03 in IRP 6th Bn, 02 in IRP 8th Bn, 01 in IRP 10th Bn, 05 in IRP 11th Bn, 07 in IRP 13th Bn, 01 each in IRP 14th Bn and IRP 17th Bn, 05 in IRP 20th Bn, 06 in IRP 21st Bn, 01 in IRP 23rd Bn and 08 in Police Hospital Srinagar.
Under another order, 537 police personnel have been granted special assistance. Among them, 06 are posted in Doda, 112 in District Jammu, 47 in District Kathua, 05 in Kishtwar, 16 in Poonch, 34 in Rajouri, 19 in Ramban, 16 in Reasi, 18 in Samba, 26 in Udhampur, 06 in GRP, Jammu, 07 in IRP 12th Bn, 10 in IRP 14th Bn, 18 in IRP 15th BN, 21 in IRP 16th Bn, 12 in IRP 18th Bn, 07 in IRP 19th, 04 in IRP 1st Bn, 06 in IRP 22nd Bn, 22 in IRP 24th Bn, 07 in IRP 2nd Bn, 03 in IRP 5th Bn, 03 each in IRP 7th Bn, ARP 5th, AP 6th Bn, 11 in Ap 7th Bn, 11 in Ap 8th Bn, 01 in PCR Jammu, 11 in PTS Kathua, 06 in PTTI Vijaypur, 12 in Securty Jammu, 01 SHQ J&K, 18 in SKPA Udhampur, 01 in SSG J&K, 02 in STC Talwara, 21 in Telecom Jammu, 11 in Traffic City Jammu and 01 each in AROJ, CID CI Jammu and Crime Jammu.
