Hakeem welcomes army findings on Shopian fake encounter, demands time bound trial to book culprits, hails L G’s economic revival package

Srinagar: Chairman Jammu & Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (JK PDF) Hakeem Yaseen has hailed economic revival package for Jammu and kashmir Union territory unfolded by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha during a press conference on Saturday . He said though the Rs 1400 Cr economic package would go a long way to reduce mounting stress on business community, but it was quite meagre as compared to the huge quantum of estimated losses to the trade and industry in jammu and kashmir. He urged for extending the ambit of the financial package needs to other affected sectors of economy and common people also.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Hakeem while hailing the economic package announced by the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, said that an adequate relief package should also be provided to the common people living below the poverty line and far-flung rural areas. He said water and electricity fee concession should be provided to all households in the Jammu and Kashmir union territory. He also demanded waiver of loans under Kisaan Credit Card Scheme (KCC) adding that like other sectors, fruit growers and traders too have suffered immensely due to post August 5 last year situation and now continuous lockdown this year due to outbreak of Coronovirus pandemic.
Hakeem has also welcomed the Army’s probe findings in Shopian encounter wherein it has been candidly admitted that violations of Standard Operating Procedures and Army conduct rules has taken place during the operation. He urged for time bound completion of trial to book the culprits. He said delivery of justice to the victim families will help to reduce the trust deficit and alienation among people in Jammu and Kashmir He said the fair and transparent probe in the incident was a welcome step towards a good beginning to reduce the prevaing alienation and trust deficit among the people of Jammu and kashmir. He has also called for time bound completion of magisterial probe ordered in Sopore youth’s killing to deliver justice.
