Kupwara/June,7: On the instructions of District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, a joint market checking squad headed by Tehsildar Headquarter, Kupwara Wednesday conducted market checking in various markets of the district.
During market checking, team realized fine of Rs. 10, 700 from the erring traders for violation of various provisions of Essential Commodities Act.
The market checking squad was accompanied by the officials of Police, Municipal Committee, Food Safety and Standard, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Legal Metrology department. The joint checking squad also directed the traders against the use of polythene.
