Comr Secy RDD reviews functioning of RDD

Jammu/June,3: Commissioner Secretary Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Nirmal Sharma convened a meeting to review the functioning of the department here Saturday.

Director, Rural Development Jammu, Superintending Engineer REW Jammu, Joint Director (Adm), DRDJ Assistant Commissioners Development of Jammu Division, District Panchayat Officers, Executive Engineers, REW, Deputy Director, Rural Sanitation Jammu Besides Assistant Director (Planning) RDD and PR were present in the meeting.

Director Rural Development Jammu, Ravinder Kumar Bhat briefed the chair about the achievements made under various schemes being implemented by the RDD Jammu.

Sharma took a threadbare review of the progress of PMAY (G) /IAY SBM, 14th FC, work completion, rate Geo-Tagging of assets under MGNREGA, Adhaar Seeding, and Job Card verification.

Under Clean and Green Mission, Commissioner / Secretary asked the concerned officers   to put in strenuous efforts to make their blocks Open Defecation Free (ODF) and Polythene free Panchayats.

She also asked the Assistant Commissioners Development to upload the Priority list of beneficiaries under PMAY (G) after conducting Gram Sabhas in their respective blocks/panchayats.

She also directed District Officers to conduct extensive tour in their areas for on spot inspections of the works executed by the Department. She expressed her satisfaction over the implementation of Central Sponsored Schemes/State Plan Scheme.
