Over 28,000 Holistic Progress Cards Issued; Director School Education Kashmir Lauds District’s Pioneering Achievement

Pulwama : District Pulwama has achieved a significant milestone in school education by celebrating Digital HPC Achievement Day – Pulwama 2026, marking the completion of foundational stage assessments for over 28,000 students. This accomplishment positions Pulwama as the first district in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to successfully implement Digital Holistic Progress Cards (HPCs), aligning with the transformative goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The celebration was attended Naseer Ahmad Wani, Director School Education Kashmir, and various officials from the School Education Department and SCERT Kashmir Division. The event highlighted the participation of students and teachers from both government and private schools, emphasizing the initiative’s focus on recognizing learners’ achievements. The Director commended the efforts of the Chief Education Officer, Ms. Anjum Raja, and the Digital HPC team, particularly acknowledging the contributions of District Nodal Officer Dr. Sajad Hussain Mir for their strategic planning and dedication. The success of this initiative stemmed from a comprehensive district-wide strategy that included orientation programs, academic guidance, technical training, and ongoing support. The collaborative efforts of Zonal Nodal Officers, Cluster Heads, and educators ensured effective implementation, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity and support for schools needing additional assistance. Digital HPC signifies a paradigm shift towards a holistic, competency-based, and learner-centric assessment approach, documenting children’s competencies and fostering collaboration between teachers and parents. Ultimately, the celebration served as a testament to the collective commitment to educational innovation and institutional collaboration within the district.
