Kathua :The two-day training programme for Phase-II of Census 2027 concluded in district Kathua under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma. The concluding session was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sachin Jamwal here at the DC Office complex.

During the training programme, the District Coordinator from the Directorate of Census Operations (DCO), Jammu and Kashmir Sanjay Sharma imparted detailed training to the participating Charge Officers on the prescribed procedures, guidelines and operational aspects of Phase-II of Census 2027.

The sessions focused on familiarising the officers with their respective responsibilities, ensuring strict adherence to official instructions and strengthening coordination for the effective implementation of census operations.

All Charge Officers, including Tehsildars and Executive Officers of Municipal Committees, participated in the training programme, except those posted in snow-bound areas. The programme aimed at enhancing the preparedness of the field-level administrative machinery and ensuring the smooth, systematic and efficient conduct of the forthcoming census operations.

Addressing the participants, the ADC emphasised the need for a coordinated and result-oriented approach, directing the officers to ensure that all preparatory activities are completed meticulously within the stipulated timelines. He highlighted that the accuracy and reliability of census data depend upon the commitment, accountability and effective supervision of the officers and field functionaries involved in the exercise.

District Statistics and Evaluation Officer Sidharth Anand, was also present during the programme. He stressed the importance of close coordination among the Charge Officers and the district administration to ensure the successful execution of all census-related activities.
