Srinagar | Oct, 24:Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday paid tribute to eminent litterateur Dr.RahiMasoom Raza on his birth centenary, highlighting his contribution to Indian literature and cinema and calling for strengthening social trust through dialogue, cooperation and compassion.
In a message delivered at a commemorative programme organised in Ghazipur, Sinha said Raza’s writings reflected the spirit of Ghazipur, Purvanchal and India while advancing a universal vision rooted in humanity and cultural harmony.

Emphasising the role of young people, he said the younger generation must remain connected to its roots while pursuing ambitious goals.
“Youth must turn every opportunity into a new possibility. It is your responsibility to ensure that development and heritage move forward together,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor also referred to progress in infrastructure, digital connectivity, financial inclusion, women’s empowerment, housing, sanitation and access to essential services, describing these as important components of inclusive development.
He said the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 required the active participation of citizens and accelerated development across regions.
“Today, India is demonstrating its capability in many fields, from space to digital public infrastructure and the world sees our country as a reliable partner,” Sinha said, calling for a collective resolve to build a developed, prosperous, strong, self-reliant and technologically advanced India.
He said Raza’s birth centenary should serve as an opportunity to give a new direction to the future by making diversity a strength and reinforcing social trust.
