Kathua : Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma Saturday reviewed the progress of schemes and development projects funded by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).

The DC took stock of the physical and financial progress of ongoing projects and the status of works being executed by the departments concerned. Discussions focussed on the pace of implementation, utilisation of funds, removal of bottlenecks and timely completion of projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure and promoting socio-economic development.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the departments concerned to expedite all ongoing NABARD-funded projects while maintaining prescribed quality standards and approved timelines. He called for close inter-departmental coordination, regular field inspections and effective monitoring so that the benefits reach targeted beneficiaries. Mr Sharma also directed the officers to identify issues impeding the works and take prompt corrective measures, and called for judicious utilisation of funds and timely submission of progress reports for district-level review.

Among those present were the Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Executive Engineers and officers of the departments concerned.
