Baramulla : Police on Tuesday cracked a residential theft case in Baramulla by recovering stolen gold earrings and apprehending the accused domestic helper.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Police said Police Station Baramulla received a written complaint on October 12 from one Fayaz Ahmad Khan, R/O Kanlibagh, Baramulla, regarding the disappearance of his wife’s gold earrings on October 4 while the family was away in Srinagar. Following the complaint a case under FIR No. 167/2026 was registered. During investigation, technical analysis and CCTV footage the domestic helper was questioned and the missing earrings were ultimately recovered from his possession. Further legal investigation is underway.
