Says “Integrated Force Strategy Essential For Modern Warfare”
New Delhi | October, 03: Operation Sindoor demonstrated the critical role of drones, loitering munitions, and integrated air power in modern warfare, IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh stated. Emphasizing that these assets must work alongside traditional systems rather than as standalone forces, he noted their effectiveness in creating chaos and neutralizing threats.
Dismissing calls for a separate drone force IAF Chief highlighted that unmanned systems have long been evolutionary to IAF operations, with existing specialized units capable of expanding as required.
Recent global conflicts underscore that aerospace power remains the cutting edge of military capability and a primary instrument for national objectives. Addressing concerns over fifth-generation fighters in the region, the IAF chief noted that platform effectiveness relies heavily on broader system integration. He called for accelerating the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program and prioritizing early inductions, adding that the Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft (MRFA) deal is expected to be finalized by the end of the current financial year.
