Srinagar, | Sept: 30: Two separate delegations, including women entrepreneurs from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) and a public delegation led by Bhaderwah MLA Daleep Singh Parihar, met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday and discussed matters related to trade, investment and development.
A delegation of women entrepreneurs from PHDCCI, led by Himani Arora, Chair, Regional Fashion Tex Tech Forum, PHDCCI, called on the Lieutenant Governor and discussed Jammu and Kashmir’s proposed participation in the upcoming 20th Punjab International Trade Expo (PITEX)-2026.
The expo is scheduled to be held from December 3 to 7 in Amritsar.
The delegation proposed holding a dedicated “Jammu Kashmir Day” at the expo to showcase the Union Territory’s business, investment, export, handicraft, cuisine, tourism and cultural potential.
The proposed programme would include a J&K Business and Investment Session, industry and buyer-seller roundtable, tourism and investment presentation, live handicraft and artisan demonstrations, a J&K food and cuisine showcase, cultural performances and a special J&K Cultural Evening.
Separately, a public delegation led by Bhaderwah MLA Daleep Singh Parihar also called on LG Sinha and raised various development issues concerning the Bhaderwah constituency.
The meetings focused on strengthening economic opportunities and addressing development-related concerns in the Union Territory.
