Anantnag : Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone Sujit Kumar on Thursday chaired a security and crime review meeting at the District Police Office (DPO) Anantnag.
The meeting was attended by DIG South Kashmir Range Javid Iqbal Matoo, SSP Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure, and other senior officers of District Anantnag. The IGP Kashmir reviewed the overall security situation and crime scenario in the district, conducting a detailed assessment of security arrangements, crime prevention measures, case investigations, and ongoing police operations. Speaking on the occasion the IGP emphasized strengthening the security grid, maintaining close coordination among field formations, and ensuring timely action against criminal and anti-social elements. He also stressed enhancing preventive measures and maintaining heightened vigilance to ensure peace and security in the district, while senior officers briefed him on prevailing security measures and public safety initiatives.
