Srinagar : Unusually warm weather persisted across Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, with Srinagar recording a maximum temperature of 33.5°C and Jammu hitting 34.6°C, officials said.
The India Meteorological Department in a post on social media platform forecasted largely dry conditions through early September, though short spells of high-intensity showers could trigger flash floods in vulnerable areas between August 31 and September 2. Farmers have been advised to adjust orchard spraying schedules around the expected weather shifts.
