KMCH Sempora holds walkthrough of Dentistry, Physiotherapy deptts, reiterates commitment to affordable healthcare

Srinagar : Kashmir Medical College and Hospital (KMCH) in Sempora, Srinagar on Wednesday conducted a walkthrough of its Dentistry and Physiotherapy departments, highlighting the enhanced facilities and advanced healthcare services available to patients.

The event underscored the institution’s dedication to delivering quality, evidence-based, and affordable healthcare. Key figures in attendance included Managing Director Tausif Ahmad, Executive Director Insha Qazi, and various department heads, all emphasizing the importance of patient-centric services. Managing Director Tausif Ahmad articulated the institution’s ongoing efforts to bolster healthcare infrastructure and introduce modern services, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive treatment in a single location. Executive Director Insha Qazi echoed this sentiment, stressing the goal of creating a healthcare ecosystem that provides quality treatment without financial strain on patients. The upgrades in the Dentistry and Physiotherapy departments reflect KMCH’s vision of merging clinical excellence with compassionate care. The Dentistry department showcased its improved infrastructure and expanded services aimed at delivering comprehensive oral healthcare. Dr. Syed Manzoor-ul-Haq Bukhari highlighted the department’s commitment to preserving natural teeth and promoting preventive care, alongside offering advanced restorative and surgical services. A notable collaboration with the Department of Medicine was announced, introducing integrated Sleep Medicine services for managing sleep-related disorders. The department has also set an affordable OPD consultation fee of Rs 50 to enhance accessibility. Similarly, the Physiotherapy department presented its facilities and rehabilitation services, focusing on a wide range of conditions, including orthopaedic and neurological issues. Senior Physiotherapist Dr. Showkat Maqbool emphasized the department’s mission to restore mobility and improve the quality of life through evidence-based rehabilitation programs. The management reiterated its commitment to continuously upgrade healthcare infrastructure and expand patient-centric services to meet the community’s growing healthcare needs.
