Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has arrested three drug peddlers during a checkpoint setup within the jurisdiction of Police Station Litter in Pulwama district.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that a patrol team intercepted a vehicle (JK01M-4904) traveling from Chakoora toward Pulwama at Wasoora Wudder. During approximately 3.470 kg of charas powder were seized . The vehicle was also seized, and the accused—identified as Jamsheed Ahmad Shah of Chandhar (Pampore), alongside Ishtiyaq Ahmad Mir and Shabir Ahmad Malik, both residents of Wasoora—were taken into custody. A case under FIR No. 100/2026 under Sections 8/20 and 29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Litter, and further investigation is underway to trace supply links.
