Ganderbal, June 22 : PDP President and Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday paid obeisance at the revered Kheer Bhawani Temple in Tulmulla area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on the occasion of the annual Kheer Bhawani Mela.

Mufti visited the historic shrine, interacted with devotees and extended her greetings on the auspicious occasion. She expressed hope that the festival would continue to strengthen the centuries-old bonds of communal harmony, mutual respect and brotherhood in Jammu and Kashmir.

Thousands of devotees from across the country participated in the annual mela, regarded as one of the most important religious gatherings of the Kashmiri Pandit community. The shrine echoed with devotion as pilgrims offered prayers and took part in traditional rituals.

The annual festival, celebrated amid elaborate arrangements by the administration, stands as a symbol of Kashmir’s rich composite culture and enduring tradition of coexistence.
