Anantnag, Oct 21: Wildlife Control Room Achabal captured a black bear in Andoo Nowgam area of Anantnag district on Wednesday.
Officials told GNS that with this, a total of 3 black bears have been captured in Andoo village alone in the last 10 days, while 6 black bears have been captured and shifted to their natural habitat by the Wildlife Control Room Achabal in the last 20 days.
Officials said that on the directions of the Wildlife Warden South, and under the supervision of Range Officer Bringi Valley, the team of Wildlife Control Room Achabal successfully rescued the bear and later released it into its natural habitat.
Locals have appreciated the efforts of the wildlife department.(GNS)
