Ganderbal, June 18: Continuing its relentless drive against drug trafficking under the “100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan”, Ganderbal Police has attached a vehicle worth approximately 3.50 lakhs belonging to a notorious drug peddler, Arshid Shafi Bhat, involved in Case FIR No.180/2023, registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station Ganderbal.

A Police spokesperson said that During the course of investigation, it was established that the attached vehicle was acquired through proceeds generated from illicit narcotics trafficking and was being used to facilitate drug-related activities. Acting under the provisions of the NDPS Act, the vehicle has been attached after following due legal procedure. The attachment of illegally acquired property is aimed at dismantling the financial infrastructure of drug peddlers and serves as a strong deterrent against those involved in the narcotics trade.

Ganderbal Police remains committed to eradicate the menace of drugs from society and appeals to the general public to extend their cooperation by sharing any information related to drug peddling or substance abuse with the nearest police establishment.
