The forecast indicates that from June 18 to June 22, J&K is likely to witness generally cloudy conditions with one or two spells of light rain, brief intense showers, thunderstorms, hailstorms and gusty winds at many places.

Meanwhile, the MeT Department has issued an advisory for farmers and the general public. Orchard owners have been advised to undertake spraying operations during the early morning hours.

The department also urged people to stay away from loose structures, electric poles, overhead wires and old trees during thunderstorms and gusty winds. Boating activities should be suspended during adverse weather conditions, it said.
