 Religious Gatherings to Continue Till June 12

  • Ziyarat of Holy Relics to Conclude Opening Nighte

Srinagar: The 587th annual Urs of Hazrat Syed Haji Mohammad Murad Bukhari (RA), the revered patron saint of Kreeri, will be celebrated with religious fervour and devotion at his shrine in Kreeri, Baramulla, from June 2, 2026, corresponding to 16th Zulhijjah 1447 AH.

The Urs celebrations will commence on Tuesday, June 2, with a Mehfil-e-Khatm-e-Sharif after Fajr prayers. The observance will continue with a night-long congregation featuring Durood-o-Azkar, Khatmat, Naat-e-Sharif, Manaqib and Awrad after Isha prayers. Azan for Isha will be called at 10:00 pm, followed by congregational prayers at 10:30 pm.

The spiritual gathering will continue throughout the night and conclude after Fajr prayers with the Ziyarat of the holy relics.

The Urs celebrations will continue till June 12, 2026. Holy relics will be displayed for devotees after every prayer on June 3, June 6 and June 12.

Thousands of devotees from across the Kashmir Valley are expected to participate in the annual Urs and pay homage to the revered saint, who is credited with laying the foundation of the historic township of Kreeri and whose teachings continue to inspire generations of followers.
