Director Agriculture Jammu reviews field activities, chairs FNT at Dansal

Director Agriculture Jammu Anil Gupta Friday conducted an extensive tour and inspection of Sub Division Dansal to review the implementation of the agricultural and developmental programmes being carried out in the area.

The Director inspected the office of the Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer (SDAO) and reviewed the functioning and ongoing activities of the subdivision. He also participated and chaired the Fortnight Training Programme (FNT) being conducted at the SDAO Office in accordance with the directions issued by the Directorate for regular conduct of FNTs across all districts and subdivisions.

The Director Agriculture also launched a book titled “Meri Pehchan Meri Panchayat” containing detailed information regarding various projects, schemes and developmental activities being implemented by the Agriculture Department in 40 Panchayats of Sub Division Dansal.

The publication also includes basic Agriculture data of all Panchayats falling under the subdivision. The Director Agriculture also participated in a plantation drive organised in the office premises as part of the departmental beautification and cleanliness campaign.

Director Anil Gupta also conducted a field inspection in the subdivision and interacted with local farmers to assess the ground-level impact of the agricultural schemes and programmes. The Director obtained feedback from the farmers regarding the benefits being availed by them under different departmental initiatives and centrally sponsored schemes. He encouraged the farmers to actively adopt modern agricultural practices and make maximum use of the schemes being implemented by the Agriculture Department for enhancement of productivity and income generation.

Later, Anil Gupta visited the Kisan KhidmatGhar (KKG) at village Churta in Sub Division Dansal and inspected its functioning. During the visit, he interacted with Krishi UdhyamiUdhay Sharma and reviewed the activities being carried out at the centre.

The Director appreciated the role of Krishi Udhyamis in strengthening extension services at the village level.
