Birbhum, May 2 (UNI) Anupam Mondal (24), a resident of Souk Village in Mallarpur of Birbhum district, an Indian Army Agniveer who was posted in Jammu and Kashmir, has died suddenly.
The Indian Army had tried to contact his family over phone in the wee hours today, but failed. Again they called them in the morning and passed the sad news.
Both his father Ram Prasad Mondal and mother Mallika Mondal are shocked at receiving the sudden news and are unable to bear the tragic loss.
The reason behind the death is not clear. The parents are waiting for return of the mortal remains to his ancestral village for the cremation.
Since childhood Anupam was eager to join the Indian Army and serve the nation and in 2022 had joined as Agniveer.
The tragic death of the young Agniveer has shocked the entire village and they are stunned since morning today. In most of the houses lunch was not cooked.
Mallarpur Police Station has also not been intimated about the cause behind his sudden death.
He had called the family over phone about a day ago and was fit and healthy, raising questions about his sudden death.
