Srinagar, Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have expressed deep anguish over the deaths of Thanamandi and Surankote resident in Kuwait, assuring the bereaved families of full state support. The victims, hailing from the Thanamandi and Surankote areas died in a fatal accident in Kuwait.
In a condolence statement Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conveyed his heartfelt prayers to the families grappling with the loss. “In this hour of grief, my thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost their loved ones. I have directed the officials to extend all possible support to the bereaved families,” the LG stated.
Parallelly, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his profound sorrow from Srinagar, sharing in the immense pain of the affected households. He prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls and offered strength to the families facing this “irreparable loss.”
Recognizing the urgency and sensitivity of the situation, CM Omar Abdullah confirmed that the J&K Government is working tirelessly to bring the deceased back home. The J&K administration is in close contact with the Ministry of External Affairs and Kuwaiti authorities.Efforts are on to expedite all legal and medical formalities. Chief Minister has assured that every possible assistance—both administrative and emotional—will be provided to the families in Rajouri and Poonch.
