New Delhi: Nityanand Rai on Wednesday said multiple welfare measures are being implemented for Kashmiri migrant families under the SRE and PMDP frameworks.
Replying in the Rajya Sabha, the Minister said financial assistance of ₹3,250 per person per month is being provided, subject to a ceiling of ₹13,000 per family, along with free ration.
He informed that 6,000 government jobs have been earmarked for migrant youth, with over 98 per cent appointments already made.
The government has also approved construction of 6,000 transit accommodation units, of which over 4,100 have been completed.
The Minister said additional initiatives include online services, direct benefit transfers and outreach programmes to improve welfare delivery.
