Authors, labour union representatives, charitable trust members call LG
Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday was presented with two publications and held separate interactions with delegations representing labour and social organisations at Raj Bhavan, Jammu.
Brig. Dr Vijay Sagar Dheman (Retd.) presented his book “Bloodlines Pahalgam: A Democracy Confronts Terrorism” to the Lieutenant Governor, who congratulated the author on the publication. The LG was also presented with another book titled “Valley of Shadows: The Untold Story of Terror in Kashmir (1947–2007)”. On the occasion, Maj Gen Govardhan Singh Jamwal (Retd.) and members of the International Institute of J&K Studies and Analyses (IIJSA), Jammu, were present.
Later, a delegation of the Pithoo& Pony Labour Union of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Katra, led by its President Bhupinder Singh, called on the Lieutenant Governor and discussed issues concerning labourers engaged in pilgrimage services.
In a separate meeting, Devinder Singh Kaluria, along with Diksha Kaluria and Riya Kaluria, Chairman and Trustees of the General Zorawar Singh Memorial Education and Charitable Trust, also met the Lieutenant Governor.
