Dy CM, Ministers extend Eid-ul-Fitr, Nauroz greetings in J&K

Jammu, Srinagar: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, along with Cabinet ministers including Javid Ahmad Dar (Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election), Javed Ahmed Rana (Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology, Environment & Tribal Affairs), SakeenaItoo (Health & Medical Education, Social Welfare & Education) and Satish Sharma (Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, IT, Transport, Youth Services & Sports and Science & Technology), on Friday extended warm greetings to the people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, also conveying their wishes on Nauroz.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary said both Eid- ul-Fitr and Nauroz hold immense religious and cultural significance and reflect the rich composite heritage of Jammu and Kashmir. He noted that Eid symbolizes compassion, gratitude and generosity, while Nauroz heralds the arrival of spring and is celebrated with great enthusiasm. He urged people to strengthen bonds of coexistence, harmony and brotherhood, expressing hope for peace, wellbeing and prosperity for all.
Minister Javid Ahmad Dar extended heartfelt Eid greetings, highlighting the festival’s spiritual and social significance as the culmination of a month devoted to fasting, prayer and reflection. He said Eid symbolizes compassion, charity, forgiveness and brotherhood, and urged people to extend support to the underprivileged and uphold inclusiveness and social responsibility. He emphasized that such occasions strengthen communal harmony and inspire collective efforts towards peace and development.
Minister Javed Ahmed Rana described Eid as a festival of gratitude and togetherness, reflecting patience, self-discipline and spiritual growth. He called for strengthening bonds of harmony and supporting the underprivileged. Extending Nauroz greetings, he said the festival symbolizes renewal, hope and positivity, and reflects values of peace, harmony and cultural diversity.
Minister SakeenaItoo also conveyed her greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr and Nauroz, saying the festivals promote compassion, generosity, unity and optimism. She urged people to strengthen brotherhood, support the needy and foster inclusiveness, while praying for peace, progress and prosperity across Jammu and Kashmir.
Minister Satish Sharma extended warm Eid greetings, wishing peace, prosperity and well-being for all citizens. He said the festival embodies values of compassion, generosity, sacrifice and brotherhood and serves as an occasion to strengthen communal harmony and mutual respect among people.He urged people to celebrate Eid in its true spirit by reaching out to the underprivileged and ensuring inclusivity in celebrations. He said adequate measures have been put in place to ensure smooth supply of essential commodities, including food grains and LPG, and strict monitoring to prevent black marketing, hoarding and overpricing during the festive period.
Satish Sharma also stressed the importance of youth engagement in promoting harmony, cleanliness and social responsibility and called for ensuring seamless transport services for hassle-free travel during Eid. He appealed to the public to celebrate responsibly, maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety norms, while praying for sustained peace, progress and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
