Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that it has seized a vehicle acquired through proceeds of narcotics trade in Shopian.
In a Statement issued here on Wednesday Police said that a vehicle (Swift car) bearing registration number JK13J-3347 has been seized by it, adding therein that the said vehicle is valued at approximately ₹6,80,960/- and is owned by one Ishfaq Ahmad Koka S/O Abdul Majeed Koka R/O Melhura Zainapora. The vehicle was identified as having been acquired through proceeds generated from the illegal sale of drugs and narcotics. The seizure of vehicle has been made under the provisions of section 68 of NDPS Act, in connection with FIR No. 04/2026 registered at Police Station Zainapora. The process was conducted in strict compliance with all legal procedures and protocols. In its statement Police reaffirmed its firm commitment to eradicate drug menace from the district and appealed people to cooperate with it by sharing any inputs about drug trafficking or other illegal activities.
