MLA Yudhvir Sethi Inaugurates 12.5-Metre National Flag at GGM Science College, Jammu

Jammu : MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi on Wednesday inaugurated a 12.5-metre-high National Flag GGM Science College, Jammu. This installation, sponsored by the MLA, aims to promote national pride and engage the youth, marking a milestone for the institution and symbolizing national unity.

Speaking on the occasion MLA Yudhvir Sethi highlighted the National Flag’s role as a representation of unity, sacrifice, and national integrity. He acknowledged the vital contribution of educational institutions in nurturing responsible citizens and fostering patriotism among students. Sethi reaffirmed his commitment to supporting educational initiatives and promised ongoing support for developmental efforts that contribute to nation-building. The MLA also took the opportunity to inspect various college facilities, including the Conference Hall and PG Geography Block, and engaged with faculty and students, expressing satisfaction with the college’s academic and infrastructural advancements. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta welcomed the MLA and expressed gratitude for his contribution, noting that the National Flag’s installation would inspire students to embrace patriotism, discipline, and civic responsibility. The event was attended by distinguished guests, faculty, staff, and a large student body, culminating in the playing of the National Anthem, “Jana Gana Mana,” and a collective salute to the National Flag, reinforcing the commitment of all present to the nation’s ideals.
