Pak Plot Exposed In Terror Attack Charge Sheet
NIA Says : Pakistan Main Sponsor of Anti-India Terror Plot

Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet in connection with the Pahalgam terror attack that occurred on April 22, resulting in the deaths of 26 civilians, primarily tourists.
The chargesheet, submitted to a special court in Jammu after a seven-and-a-half-month investigation, names six individuals, including three deceased terrorists and a handler based in Pakistan. The banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and its affiliate, The Resistance Front (TRF), are implicated in the attack. The chargesheet identifies three Pakistani terrorists—Sulaiman Shah, Hamza Afghani, and Jibran—who were involved in the attack and later killed in a military operation in Srinagar. Additionally, two over ground workers, Bashir Ahmad Jothar and Parvez Ahmad, are accused of providing logistical support to the attackers. The NIA has presented forensic evidence, including blood samples and hair strands, to substantiate its case. The attack, which targeted a group of tourists in Baisaran Valley, is noted as one of the deadliest in recent Indian history. In response, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 and 8 to target terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, resulting in the deaths of numerous terrorists.
The NIA’s chargesheet outlines a conspiracy linked to Pakistan, detailing the roles of the accused and the evidence collected during the investigation. The charges against the LeT/TRF and the four terrorists include violations of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Arms Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The NIA has also accused the individuals of waging war against India. The two arrested individuals, Jothar and Ahmad, provided critical information during their interrogation, confirming the identities of the terrorists involved and their affiliations with the LeT. The investigation remains ongoing.
