DC Kulgam chairs meeting on PM-SYM Implementation, Directs enhanced mobilisation & time-bound saturation

Kulgam : Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan Friday convened a meeting to review the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan (PM-SYM) scheme.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of expanding coverage under PM-SYM to ensure that unorganised workers are enrolled for social security benefits.
The DC issued directions to all line departments to intensify mobilisation efforts at the grassroots level and ensure maximum outreach.
Each department was instructed to identify eligible beneficiaries within their respective domains and carry out field-level awareness activities.
To streamline the enrollment process, the DC also assigned department-wise targets and directed officers to submit weekly progress reports.
Departments were asked to coordinate closely with field staff, CSC centres, PRIs, and concerned agencies for effective mobilisation and on-spot registration drives.
The Deputy Commissioner urged all officials to work with dedication so that the district achieves full saturation under the PM-SYM scheme in a time-bound manner.
