The programme witnessed participation of students, frontline health workers, legal professionals, civil society members and community representatives.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel, Advocate Abid Hussain Malla, highlighted the significance of the day, reiterating the global theme “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response”, calling for sustained political leadership, international cooperation and human rights-centered approaches to end AIDS BY 2030. He further emphasized the collective responsibility of institutions and citizens in combating discrimination, ensuring care, and spreading accurate information regarding prevention and treatment.

Experts from the Health Department conducted interactive sessions on HIV transmission, prevention methods, available treatment facilities, and the importance of regular testing.
