Activities to Observe AMR Awareness Week 2025
Ang: The Postgraduate Department of Pharmacology, Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag, under the guidance of Principal and Dean, Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Najeeb, observed Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week from November 18-24, 2025, with a series of community outreach activities.
The theme for this year’s awareness week was “Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future.”

The activities included awareness visits to GMC Anantnag Hospital Janglat Mandi, field visits to Primary Health Centres (PHCs) at Sagam and Brakapora, and Maternity Hospital, Sherbagh. During these visits, faculty members and students interacted with patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff, emphasizing the need for judicious antibiotic use.
