Reasi: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Nidhi Malik Friday chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM) in the district.
The DC reviewed key performance indicators of the Mission, including the formation and strengthening of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), bank linkage, livelihood generation activities and the implementation of centrally sponsored livelihood schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner also took a detailed review of the implementation of the Lakhpati Didi initiative, emphasizing the need for focused planning, capacity-building and convergence with line departments to achieve saturation across all blocks.
During the meeting, DC Reasi stressed that households with migrated members should be identified and added for the formation of SHGs, ensuring that no eligible family is left out of the Mission’s benefits.
She further directed the officials to maintain updated and accurate data of all SHGs/SSGs for effective monitoring and timely support.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the JKRLM officers to achieve 100% of the assigned targets, particularly in the formation of new SHGs/SSGs, financial inclusion, enterprise development and coverage under the Lakhpati Didi programme. She urged the officers to intensify field visits and streamline coordination at the block level to meet these goals.
Officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the number of SHGs formed, progress in credit linkage, training programmes conducted and market linkage support being provided to women-led enterprises.
She emphasized the need to identify successful SHG enterprises for replication and ensure robust handholding support so that women become financially empowered and self-reliant.
The meeting was attended by CPO Narinder Kumar, District Programme Manager Munisha, Block Programme Managers and other concerned officials.
