DC Rajouri reviews, finalises arrangements for Samvidhan Diwas celebrations

Rajouri : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma Monday chaired a meeting to review and finalise the arrangements for the celebration of Samvidhan Diwas being observed on November 26, 2025 across the Country.
The DC laid special emphasis on organising activities aimed at spreading awareness about the Constitution of India and promoting citizen participation. He informed that a “Run for Equity” and a documentary screening on the Constitution would be held on the day.
The DC directed educational institutions to organise pledge-taking ceremonies, special morning assemblies, quiz competitions, open dialogues, Gram Sabha debates and other informative activities related to the Constitution. He also instructed schools and municipalities to conduct wall art and put up thematic displays, highlighting constitutional values.
To ensure wider participation, the DC instructed the District Information Office to intensify publicity for the online quiz competition on MyGov.in and other citizen-engagement activities.
Highlighting the importance of taking the celebrations to every corner of the district, the DC directed the ADCs and SDMs to ensure that Samvidhan Diwas is celebrated in each sub-division with enthusiasm. He further directed municipalities to establish “Samvidhan Chowks” as symbolic spaces dedicated to constitutional awareness.
The Deputy Commissioner urged all departments to work in close coordination to ensure that Samvidhan Diwas is celebrated with dignity, awareness and active public involvement across the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Malikzada Sheraz ul Haq; ADC Chander Prakash; ACR Mohammad Jahangir Khan; Additional SP, Bikram Kumar; ACD Auqil Naveed; DSWO Abdul Raheem; Ex. En PWD Aftab Anwar; Ex. En PDD Abdul Rasheed; CEO Mohammad Hafeez; Tehsildar HQ Insha Khalid and other district and sectoral officers.
