Srinagar : A young man from Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district was among the 13 people killed in the devastating car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening, which also left over 20 others injured.
The deceased has been identified as Bilal Ahmad Sangoo, son of Abdul Hameed Sangoo, a resident of Babanagri Wangath, Kangan.
Confirming the development, SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal said officials have verified the casualty.
“It has been confirmed that one person from the Kangan area succumbed to injuries sustained in the Delhi blast,” SSP Poswal said.
He added that the administration is making arrangements to bring the body back to Kashmir. “We will ensure his body is brought here for the last rites. Our team is coordinating with the authorities in Delhi,” he said.
