Distt Admin B’pora finalizes preparations for Vande Mataram celebration

Bandipora : The District Administration Bandipora on Thursday finalized preparations for the commemoration of 150 years of national pride “Vande Mataram”, to be observed from 7th to 14th November 2025 during a review meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl, at the Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat, Bandipora. During the meeting, all arrangements for district-level event were thoroughly reviewed.

On the occasion, the ADC directed officers to ensure the smooth conduct of the mass singing of “Vande Mataram” at 10:00 AM on November 7, in alignment with the national event to be led by the Hon’ble Prime Minister from IG Stadium, New Delhi.

The meeting emphasized the need for extensive participation from schools, colleges, and public institutions to mark the occasion with public participation.

During the meeting, the ADC stressed that arrangements should be made to facilitate live streaming of the Prime Minister’s address and the national-level celebration across all educational and public venues in the district. It was also decided that printouts of song lyrics would be distributed among participants to encourage collective singing.

The meeting discussed related activities such as patriotic song concerts, exhibitions, and awareness programmes to celebrate the rich historical significance of “Vande Mataram.”

Among others, the meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Bandipora, Shabir Ahmad Wani; ACD Bandipora, ACP Bandipora, CAO Bandipora, CHO Bandipora, DIO Bandipora, officers from the Education Department, Social Forestry, Rural Development, Youth Services & Sports, PDD, and other concerned departments, besides SDM Sumbal and SDM Gurez, principals of degree colleges joined virtually.
