Budgam : The second randomisation of polling staff designated for deployment across 173 polling stations for the upcoming bye-elections to the 27-Assembly Constituency Budgam was Friday conducted at Budgam.

The randomisation process was carried out under the supervision of the District Election Officer (DEO) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, in the presence of General Observer, Bhor Singh Yadav.

As per the guidelines stipulated by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the randomisation was conducted through the Election Management System to ensure transparency and impartiality. During the process, a total of 1020 employees, including a 50% reserve, were randomly allocated to different polling stations for the bye-elections.

The step marks a crucial part of the preparations aimed at ensuring free, fair, and smooth conduct of the electoral process in the constituency.

Besides Returning Officer for 27-AC Budgam, Afroza Bano; Dy. DEO, Hilal Ahmad; Nodal Officer ETBPS, Majid Hussain, and other officers were also present during the randomisation process.

It was informed that all prerequisites and arrangements are being fulfilled as per ECI guidelines to ensure a peaceful and transparent bye-election in 27-Assembly Constituency Budgam.
